Dear Valued Client,
During periods of extreme turmoil in the financial markets, there is always fear and worry over investment losses in the midst of downturns. While that is understandable, we investors can assuage these emotions by reminding ourselves that we are investing for a time horizon that is longer than just a few months, a year, or even two.
Then, remind ourselves that we have been through downturns before, and while they felt bad, all is forgotten when the markets come back up and our accounts are back to making new highs again.
Will this time be different? We think not. It is only a matter of time. The world will get through this crisis and the financial markets will recover.
